الحمد لله رب العالمين،
نحمده ونستعينه ونستغفره ونستهديه،
ونعوذ بالله من شرور أنفسنا ومن سيئات أعمالنا.
من يهده الله فهو المهتدِ،
ومن يضلل فلن تجد له ولياً مرشدا.
وأشهد ألا إله إلا الله
وأشهد أن محمداً عبده ورسوله.
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all beings

I praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness and guidance

I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our souls and from our sinful deeds

Whomsoever Allah guides, no one can mislead

And whomsoever Allah allows to stray no can guide

I bear witness that there is no God but Allah

and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Messenger

باسمك ربي أضع جنبي
وبك أرفعه
فإن أمسكت نفسي فارحمها،
وإن أرسلتها فاحفظها بما تحفظ به عبادك الصالحين.


In Your name, my Lord, I lie down
and in Your name I rise
So, should you take my soul, then have mercy upon it
And, if you should return it (to my body) then protect it in the manner you protect your righteous servants

أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من غضبه وعقابه وشر عباده، ومن همزات الشياطين وأن يحضرون


I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah, from His displeasure and punishment and from evil people, and from the (evil) promptings of devils and from their presence

الحمد لله الذي هدانا لهذا وما كنا لنهتدي لولا أن هدانا الله


Praise be to Allah, Who has guided us to this (felicity): never could we have found guidance, had it not been for the guidance of Allah

اللهم رب السماوات، ورب الأرض، ورب العرش العظيم، ربنا ورب كل شيء، فالق الحب والنوى، ومنزل التوراة والإنجيل والفرقان، أعوذ بك من شر كل دابة أنت آخذ بناصيتها.

O Allah, the Lord of the Heaven, the Lord of the Earth and the Lord of the Magnificent Throne; our Lord, and the Lord of everything: the Splitter of the grain of corn and the date-stone (or fruit kernel), the Revealer of the Torah, Injil and the Criterion (the Holy Qur'an), I seek refuge in You from the evil of everything You are to seize by the forelock (you have perfect control over it)

اللهم اكفني بحلالك عن حرامك، وأغنني بفضلك عمن سواك

O Allah, make what is lawful enough for me, as opposed to what is unlawful

and spare me by Your grace, of need of others

أستغفر الله الذي لا إله إلا هو الحي القيوم وأتوب إليه

I seek forgiveness from Allah, there is no deity but Him, the Living, the Eternal and I repent to Him

ربنا لا تدع لنا ذنباً إلا غفرته، ولا هماً إلا فرجته، ولا مريضاً إلا شفيته وعافيته، ولا ميتاً إلا رحمته

Our Lord, do not leave for us any sin without forgiving it;

do not leave for us any worry without removing it;

do not leave any sick among us without granting him cure and making him well,

do not leave any dead (among us/them) without granting him mercy

ربنا آتنا في الدنيا حسنة، وفي الآخرة حسنة، وقنا عذاب النار

Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the next world and save us from the torments of hell-fire

اللهم اغفر للمؤمنين والمؤمنات، الأحياء منهم والأموات.

O Allah, forgive all believers, males and females, the living as well as the dead

هلال خير ورشد، هلال خير ورشد، هلال خير ورشد، آمنت بالله الذي خلقك، آمنت بالله الذي خلقك، آمنت بالله الذي خلقك، الحمد الذي ذهب بشهر شعبان وجاء بشهر رمضان

A new moon of blessing and guidance! A new moon of blessings and guidance! A new moon of blessings and guidance! I believe in Allah, the One that created you! Praise to Allah Who has taken away the month of Sha'ban and ushered in the month of Ramadan

الحمد لله الذي أحيانا بعد ما أماتنا وإليه النشور

Praise be to Allah who gave us life after he had taken it from us

and unto Him is the resurrection

اللهم إني أسألك من فضلك، اللهم اعصمني من الشيطان

O Allah, I ask You from Your bounty.

O Allah, guard me from the accursed Satan

اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الجبن والبخل

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from cowardice and miserliness

اللهم إني أسالك الجنة وأعوذ بك من النار

O Allah, I ask you to grant me Paradise

and I seek refuge in You from the Fire

اللهم قني عذابك يوم تبعث عبادك


O, Allah, guard (shield) me against Your punishment when You raise Your servants from the dead

اللهم إني أسألك علماً نافعاً ورزقا طيباً وعملاً متقبلاً.

O Allah, I ask you for knowledge that is beneficial

and sustenance that is good

and deeds that are acceptable

اللهم بك أصبحنا وبك أمسينا، وبك نحيا وبك نموت، وإليك النشور.

O Allah, by Your Leave we reach the morning

and by Your Leave we reach the evening

by Your leave we live and by Your leave we die

and unto You is our resurrection

الحمد لله الذي كساني هذا الثوب ورزقنيه من غير حول لي ولا قوة

All praise is for Allah who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me , with no power nor might from myself

قَدَّر الله وما شاء فعل

Allah has decreed, and what He wills, He does

لا إله إلا الله، إن للموت لسكرات

There is no God but Allah; there is indeed agony in death.



None has the right to be worshipped but Allah; death does indeed contain agony

إنَّا لله وإنَّا إليه راجعون

اللهم اجُرْنِي في مصيبتي واخْلُفْ لي خيراً منها

O, Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, weakness and laziness

miseliness and cowardice, the burden of debts

and from being overpowered by men

اللهم لا سهل إلا ما جعلتَه سهلا

وأنت تجعل الحزن إذا شئت سهلا

O, Allah, there is no ease except what You have made easy

and You make the difficulty, if You will, easy

عند لبس الثوب

اللهم لك الحمد أنت كسوْتَنِيه ، أسألك من خيره وخير ما صُنِعَ له، وأعوذ بك من شره وشر ما صُنِع له

O, Allah, praise be to you. You have clothed me with it (the garment). I ask You for the good of it, and the good for which it was made; and I seek refuge in You from the evil of it, and the evil for which it was made

تُبْلي ويُخْلِف الله تعالى


May you wear it out, and Allah (Sublime He is) replaces it
